"EPPO": "Action" will appear a new service that will help the military knock down the missiles of the Russian Federation

With the help of the program, Ukrainians can quickly report the military direction of the rocket flight - it is enough to get the smartphone and press one button. A group of Technari volunteers from Odessa developed the EPPO application, which will allow the Ukrainian military to intercept Russian missiles faster. One of the developers, Gennady Soldin, told details in an interview with Dumskaya.

The air defense system identifies rockets and other air targets with a network of locators, but to fully protect the sky, they need ten more than Ukraine has now. Gennady Soldin, together with the programmer Andriy Kosyak, gathered a team that found the problem and offered it to the military. The service received the approval of experts and should soon appear in the Action Appendix.

In their view, locators can replace the eyes and ears of ordinary Ukrainians, because anyone can hear and even take a picture of a low flight rocket. If tens or hundreds of people quickly transmit information about the threat of air defense headquarters, then the anti -aircraft officers localize it much faster. The new EPPO observer makes the process as fast as possible and automated.

"If you have a rocket wing or any other air target over you, you need to start the application immediately, send the smartphone to the rocket flight and press the button. Everything," Gennady Soldin said. The program will then check the truthfulness of the data and send it to the units of the air defense. The developer emphasized that the system should cope with DDOS attacks, withstand a large flow of messages, cut off casual or false requests of users.

To do this, she first checks whether the geolocation of the smartphone with the location of the base station coincides, that is, whether the subscriber hides its location, how often it sends the message and whether they contradict information from other people. The data is then processed, summarized, applied to the map and transferred to the command post. Knowing the characteristics of the goal, the military can calculate the trajectory and find out where it will be in a minute.

The advantage of "EPPO" is that new points appear in real time, they can be compared with the indicators obtained from the locators. "The land should burn under the feet of the invaders, and the rocket's winged rocket must shoot everything that is and all over the route. If Ukrainians put EPPO on their phones and use it properly - we can arrange it," Gennady stressed. The main thing is that the responsible users are as much as possible.

In order to minimize the number of false messages from jokes and malefactors, the developers have proposed to introduce identification through the Action Program. On his Facebook page, Gennady Soldin wrote on September 10 that the EPPO program received the approval of the commissioners of the South Military Command Command Commands, the Navy Commander Viceadmiral Alexei Shepapi and the Commander of the OVC "Alexandria".

It will be tested in Ukrainian military units and air defense units in the near future. In addition, as a result of the meeting with the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mikhail Fedorov, Ministry's experts and EPPOs, they decided to integrate into the Acting Appendix, subject to reliable data protection.
