New dates and new format. Despite the war in Lviv will take place an international bookforum

From October 6 to 9, 2022, the 29th Bookforum International Bookforum Book Festival will be held in Lviv. This year, not only the dates of the event but also the format of the event were changed due to the full -scale invasion of Russia into the territory of Ukraine, the organizers reported. All events will be broadcast, while in the offline format will be able to visit one hundred special guests for personal invitations.

There are 20 events with more than 40 authors from Ukraine, the United Kingdom, the USA, Mexico, Syria, Portugal, France, Iran and Tanzania within Bookforum. Among the key topics of the festival: Video of the Day "Ukraine today is a key bastion in the struggle for world peace and values.

We are preparing an event, during which powerful voices of almost all continents will be supported, and the Ukrainian among them are the most important, ”says Sofia Cefis Cefi's program director of the Lviv International BookForum and Curator of the Festival.

The purpose of this year's forum is to explain to foreigners what is happening and why is happening in Ukraine and with Ukraine now, to raise important and inconvenient topics, the global comprehension of which will help to victory over totalitarianism and will become the foundation for building a new democratic world.

The organizers seek to show the Ukrainian audience how powerful the support of Ukraine in the world is now and how important Ukrainian authors are important to the international reading community.
