Turkey has signed an agreement with the Russian Federation on the purchase of the Second Division of the SPS C-400

The contract provides not only the supply of anti-aircraft missile systems, but also partial localization of production in Turkey. The Head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation Dmitry Shugaev stated that the contract for the supply of the second regiment of SCRC C-400 to Turkey was signed. About it reports "Kommersant". The contract for the supply of the C-400 anti-aircraft missile system provides partial localization of production in Turkey.

Bugaev also noted that cooperation with the Turks in the Russian Federation is under all plans, despite the "political situation". Bugaev made a statement on the signing of the contract at the exhibition 2022. He also stated that there was no reason to believe that some country is able to create a system that could approach the C-400 Triumph in its characteristics. The contract for the supply of the first C-400 division was signed in 2017.

In response, the United States excluded Turkey from the F-35 fighter production program and imposed sanctions. After the commencement of a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, Washington proposed to transfer the S-400 to the Ukrainian army in response to the removal of sanctions. Ankara did not accept the proposal. C-400 is a Russian anti-aircraft system of large and medium-sized radius. One SPS provides a simultaneous impact of 10 targets.
