The newly created army corps of the Russian Federation will not change the situation on the battlefield - ISW

The recently formed 3rd Army Corps, which Russia throws to the front, will not be able to dramatically change the situation on the battlefield. About it writes the Institute of War Study (ISW). It is noted that the Russian Federation will expel the 3rd Army Corps to restore offensive operations, probably in the direction of the city of Donetsk and in the southern direction.

Video of the day as analysts suggest that the Russian military intends to introduce the 3rd Army Corps to strengthen offensive operations near Donetsk, where the traffic around Marinka, Sands and Avdiivka stalled after some success. Parts of the 3rd Army Corps can also be deployed on the southern axis, including near Kherson. However, as ISW writes, units of the Army Corps are unlikely to be able to create an effective fighting power.

"It is better to equip the equipment more effective if the personnel are not sufficiently trained or disciplined as many members of the volunteer units of the 3rd Army Corps," the Institute of War Study emphasizes. Images of elements of the 3rd Army Corps showed that volunteers are physically unhealthy and old. Analysts also note that the lack of experienced junior officers in Russia will affect the efficiency of the corps.
