"Russia Solved Open War": US want to reform the UN Security Council through Kremlin's actions

The US representative to the UN has hinted that since 2009 Russia has started to use the veto. According to her, it is impossible to exercise this right, justifying your own military aggression. The US wants to reform the UN Security Council. First of all, this concerns the use of the veto right. This was stated by a state representative in the United Nations Linda Thomas Grinfield. She reminded that Russia has applied 26 vetos since 2009, with 12 of which China also joined.

In doing so, the United States has only exercised this right 4 times. According to Thomas Grinfield, the Russian Federation has struck a new war as the basis of the UN Charter. "Russia has violated national sovereignty and territorial integrity, violated human rights and resolved an open war instead of negotiating peace," she said. The states suggested that permanent members of the UN Security Council would explain the reasons for the General Assembly to be vetoed.

Linda Thomas Grinfield also said that countries that are vetoed to protect their own acts of aggression are losing moral authority. "The Security Council should also better reflect global reality and take into account geographical representation. We should not maintain outdated status quo," Thomas Grinfield said during a meeting of the UN Security Council.

According to her, consultations with US President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken are already being prepared to reform the UN Security Council and other structure bodies. The UN Security Council is a permanent body that lies responsible for supporting peace and security at the international level. The Security Council is referred to as "six UN main structures". Permanent members are the US, China, Russia, the United Kingdom, France. Only they have a veto.
