Communal and War: Discounts were introduced in Kiev and canceled some payments for some people

The victims of the war of Kiev will not pay for the maintenance of the adjoining territory, garbage removal, supply of cold water. At the time of martial law, the Kyiv City Administration introduced discounts and partially canceled the utility fee for Kyiv residents, institutions and organizations affected by the invasion of Russian troops. This decision was made by local deputies during a meeting of the City Council, the KSCA press service reports.

In particular, the victims of the fighting were allowed not to pay the communal service for the maintenance of the adjoining territory, the removal of solid household waste, the supply of cold water and sewerage. And the institutions and organizations that have provided housing for temporary displaced persons will pay the same utilities with a 50% discount.

The same discount was introduced for catering establishments, which since the beginning of the war have been fed free of charge displaced persons and military. Also, a 30% discount on all utilities received socially disadvantaged residents of the capital.
