According to the President, the General Staff decided not to reveal the exact losses of the Ukrainian military, because it is necessary to be very careful with the numbers. The Armed Forces of Ukraine lose about 50 fighters at the front daily. However, since the beginning of a full -scale invasion of Russia, the number of Ukrainian military soldiers is smaller than in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

This was emphasized by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with the French edition of Ouest-France. The head of state noted that these figures are evaluative and do not include victims among civilians. "But these are not accurate figures, because we do not know how many soldiers and civilians remain in this territory. There are five less Ukrainian soldiers killed than Russian," he said.

Zelensky also explained why the General Staff of the Armed Forces decided not to reveal the exact number of losses among Ukrainian fighters in the war with Russia. According to him, you should be careful with the numbers. "The numbers must be very careful because it is about human lives," the President added. It should be noted that, according to the General Staff, as of September 23, more than 56 thousand Russian military was killed in the war against Ukraine.

We will remind, on September 21 the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that 5,937 Russian military was killed in Ukraine. At the same time, only 6476 dead are known in open sources. On September 23, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar said that more than 9,000 Ukrainian soldiers were killed during a full -scale war with Russia. She also assured that information about the alleged hundreds of thousands of dead Ukrainian fighters is a lie.
