The occupiers robbed the Kherson Library named after Oles Honchar: they took out priceless editions

The pre -revolutionary works of Kherson region came into the hands of Russian invaders. The stolen books were a valuable source for research dedicated to the history of Kherson province. During the occupation of Kherson, the Russian military took out rare pre -revolutionary publications from the Oles Honchar Library. The loss was reported on the Kherson City Council page on Telegram.

The publication states that the Kherson Library was a repository for one of the largest collections of books published in the Kherson province in pre -revolutionary times. According to the director of Nadiya Korotun's bookstore, the publication served as a source of information for researchers, local lore, students and teachers. "The information resource has been destroyed for anyone interested in the history of the southern part of Ukraine.

It is painful to perceive it! We hope and believe that this collection will return to our native Goncharivka!" - says Nadezhda Korotun. Since his stay in the Kherson region, Russian invaders have also devastated museum funds. Thus, according to the National Resistance Center, the Russians took more than 15,000 exhibits to the occupied Crimea. In particular, the Kherson Art Museum named after Alexei Shovkunenko was robbed.

Among the stolen canvases are icons written at the turn of the XVII-XX centuries, Ukrainian painting of the second half of the XIX-early XX centuries, as well as the works of contemporary domestic artists. A total of four loot trucks that came to Simferopol from Kherson, Nova Kakhovka and other settlements of the region. It should be reminded that the military personnel of the Russian Federation were stolen from the Kherson zoo raccoon and other animals.

The movement of animals was known thanks to a video published on the channel of the owner of the Crimean Zoo "Tiggan" Oleg Zubkova. He emphasized that he was asked for the export of animals by representatives of the occupation administration of Kherson region. Focus also wrote that in Nova Kakhovka the Russians removed equipment from the cognac plant "Tavriya". The mayor notes that the invaders may be interested in automatic spill lines, as well as the alcohol used to create a collection cognac.
