"Without them the army would not know anything": WSJ told how the guerrillas helped the Armed Forces to release Kherson
According to journalists, the guerrillas watched the roads leading to the city, watched videos from street chambers aimed at key intersections, and leaving bicycles in the fields to the Russian troops. The publication writes that the guerrillas made part of their daily life by Russian invaders, playing a key role in adjusting the exact blows that forced Moscow to withdraw troops from the right bank of the Dnieper.
Journalists reported that during the occupation, a large electronics store served Russian troops as a field hospital, barracks and food warehouses. However, the Ukrainian forces then struck the store, completely destroying it. It was one of the numerous attacks, which was made precisely thanks to the guerrillas.
So, it is reported that before the attack a small group of local Ukrainian activists sent Ukrainian military photographs of the location of the Russians and the coordinates encrypted by the Telegram-channel. It is noted that the Telegram-channel was created the next day after the full-scale invasion of Russia in Ukraine. It was called "Ruzzians go home". According to the participants, there were about 20 people in the group.
After Russia has disconnected Ukrainian network connections, they used Russian SIM cards and VPN to mask their traffic. Andriy, a scout of the Ukrainian brigade, who collected information from the group, told reporters that the work of the guerrillas was a "huge help". "These people see Russian tanks, they see where the soldiers go to dine where they arrange parties where they erase the linen and share this information with us. Without them, our army would know nothing," he said.
The material said that the FSB conducted searches in the homes of those who considered guerrillas. Many people were detained. The newspaper writes that on March 28, the FSB staff came home to one of the members and arrested it. Two more Telegram participants were arrested shortly afterwards.
The participants cleared their chat magazines with those who were detained and introduced a new rule: every morning, each participant had to send a video about themselves at home to prove that they were not detained. Anyone who does not send the video will be immediately removed from the group. According to journalists, despite the fact that Russian invaders left Kherson, many guerrillas remain prisoners in the occupied territory. They hope to exchange prisoners of war and want to be at home.
Earlier, Focus wrote that Zelensky voiced the losses of the Russian Federation from the beginning of the war. The Russian army tries to replenish the loss of live force through the mobilization of prisoners. However, the invaders will not work at the expense of the warfare. We will also remind that in the United States accused the Russians of illegally supplying electronics for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
