This is evidenced by the results of a sociological survey conducted by the All -Russian Center for Public Opinion (VCVGD). In particular, sociologists have decided to find out how the Russians' attitude to the influence of the West on the domestic culture has changed.

More than half of the respondents surveyed - 59% - did not see any benefits from Western civilization and democracy. 33% believe that they are not suitable for Russia, and 26% call them destructive. According to VCVGD, these ideas in public opinion have significantly strengthened since 2000, when 35% of the participants of the study expressed negative views: 25% believed that Western guidelines did not fit the Russian Federation, and were considered to be 10%.

According to sociologists, the proportion of respondents who believed that Russia could take a lot of useful from Western culture and democracy - from 55% in 2000 to 30%. Young people between the ages of 18 and 34, according to VCVGD, remain the main category of people who have positively answered the issues during the study. Yes, about 55% of citizens surveyed believe that the West is needed for Russia and that it can give much good.

Today, according to experts, every second inhabitant of the Russian Federation is convinced that the Russians forget their culture because of their fault, but 35% see the problem of increasing the "pressure of the event". A sociological study of VCVGD was conducted by a telephone interview with a stratified random sample, which was removed from the full list of cellular telephone numbers involved in the Russian Federation.
