The defense in the Russian Federation is working on the modification of the Krasnopol projectile for use from UAV

Roszmi write that a new ammunition is underway in the war zone in Ukraine, but it is not yet discussed. Russian engineers from the Design Bureau (KB) named after Shipunov are working on a new modification of the Krasnopol projectile, which the Russian military is considered high. In particular, it is a ammunition, which is intended for use by shock drones, reported on May 22, the TASS agency.

The publication states that according to the representatives of the Holding "High Complexes" of the State Corporation "Rostech", the development of a modified corrected ammunition "Krasnopol" for use from UAV is completed. Now a new work of Russian engineers is being tested in the war zone in Ukraine. At the same time, the plans of mass production of this type of ammunition are not said yet.

In this regard, the "Military Observer" writes that information about the development of a modified projectile "Krasnopol" appeared in December last year. In addition to the fact that the projectile was developed for use of drones, the mortar was allegedly developed. Krasnopol Ammunition 2K25-corrected fragmentation and fugural caliber shell 152 mm and 155 mm. It is equipped with a bottom gas -generator and has a warhead with a laser target.

To date, there is still a projectile version of the Russian army-152-mm 3OF39m "Krasnopol-M" with a mass of 8 kg of battlefield and a flight range up to 25 km. Given that the ammunition has a standard caliber of 152 mm, it can be used by the whole line of Russian artillery systems, including MSTA-S, MSTA-SM and Coalition-SV. The ammunition was created as a high -precision weapon to defeat small targets with one shot.

At the same time, the developers claim that the target of ammunition allows you to capture up to three purposes at the same time. With regard to the use of this type of ammunition in the Russian-Ukrainian war, the Defense Express observers state that the invaders' troops complain about the acute shortage of these shells. There is probably a problem of mass production of Krasnopol, which may be due to the fact that the value of one projectile is estimated at $ 35,000.
