Kuleba urged not to consider the counter -offensive of the Armed Forces as a "final battle" (video)
Dmitry Kuleb, Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, said this on Friday, April 28 during a meeting of the heads of the Baltic States and Northern Europe in Odessa. "The counter -offensive does not need to be considered the last battle. The last battle is the battle that will lead to the complete liberation of the Ukrainian territories. But this conclusion can only be made at the end of the battle, not at the beginning," Kuleba emphasized.
According to the minister, those who draw conclusions about whether a counter -offensive is a decisive battle at its very beginning, distort the picture of Kiev's efforts. It will be possible to say something specific about the results of the operation only by the results of its conduct. At the same time, the Minister notes that during the previous counter -offensive, the Armed Forces of Ukraine reached all the tasks.
However, in order to completely release the occupied territory, several such operations may be required. "Now we need the next counter -offensive. We will fight until our entire territory is released. If we need one counter -offensive - there will be one if two or more - there will be two or more. This is not such a conflict that can be frozen," - summed up Kuleba.
It should be noted that on April 28, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexei Reznikov reported that the defense forces are ready for the announced counter -offensive. According to Reznikov, the preparation is in the final stage, in addition, it is expected that the appropriate weather conditions will occur and the command of the command will be announced. According to the minister, armored vehicles transferred to Western partners will be used in the counter -offensive.
In particular, it is about the main battle tanks of Leopard 2 and Challenger. But the American tanks M1 Abrams "will not have time" to participate. On April 25, The New York Times reported that by the end of April, Ukraine will prepare 12 brigades with approximately 4,000 people each for a counter -offensive in the spring of 2023. American journalists claim that the counter -offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will take place in May this year and will deploy mostly on the Southern Front.
