According to him, Putin is waiting to take advantage of his chance at the G20 summit, which will be held in Indonesia.

"The grain agreement will be the central theme of this G20 summit, and everyone will try to persuade Putin to continue it," the source told reporters. According to him, in the end, the diplomat said, Russia will allow to extend the agreement for four months or even extend it for a longer period.

"This is a way for Russians to save cards at the G20 summit, but the prolongation or long -term continuation of the grain agreement is worthless," he said. The publication writes that the grain agreement concluded through the UN mediation is crucial for food markets: it allows to export grain from Ukraine, one of the world's largest exporters in this product.

Since the conclusion of the agreement on July 22, several million tons of corn, wheat, sunflower products, barley, rapeseed and soybeans have been exported from the ports of the Black Sea of ​​Ukraine.
