Macron and Biden will try to attract China in the end of war in Ukraine

The French presidential administration noted that the leaders of the two countries will participate in "building a strong peace in the region" following the possible mediation of Beijing. On the eve of Emmanuel Macron's visit to Beijing, Presidents of the United States and France have agreed to attract China to accelerate the end of the war in Ukraine. This is stated in the statement of the Elisha Palace, which is quoted by Reuters on April 5.

Biden and Macron emphasized that they were interested in establishing a hard peace in the region. "Both leaders mentioned a common willingness to attract China to accelerate the end of the war in Ukraine and take part in the construction of a sustainable peace in the region," Macron stressed.

According to the statement, presidents hope that China can contribute to the efforts of solidarity between the global North and the South, as well as to develop a general agenda for combating climate change and biodiversity preservation. Macron will visit China today, April 5, and will be awake there until April 7. China's leader Xi Jinping plans to negotiate with him to determine the course of bilateral relations.
